The Company was estalished in 1980 as mechanical erection contractor for oil storage tank erection, heavy process equipment erection work and related piping work and have contributed a great deal to the petrochemical industry of Korea during its 2nd 5 tear econmomic plan. Since then, the company was sucessfully completed countless projects in Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirate, Libya, Iran, and Nigeria, as at home WOONGNAM has adopted and applied new technology for heavy rigging and piping work which requires accurate planning conducted by the engineering group of the company.On large storage tanks over 500,000BBL or over 70 meter in diameter, the company's experience and expertise serve CLIENTS quality and performance with advanced technology such as applying not only full automatic welding machine for horizontal, vertical and joints of bottom plates for the tanks but also air raising method of lifting the roof.
